At the age of 2 Mina’s parents divorced and her grandmother took care of her.
She had problems in school and other children bullied her. She wanted to succeed at school but it was so difficult for her. She ran away because her situation was too hard to deal with.
She was living in the streets of Kathmandu and a lady convinced her to work in a bar. The bar happened to be a brothel. She had to entertain at least 10 customers a day. She was only 15 years old. Every day and night she was raped.
Luckily she was rescued by Free a Girl after a year of severe torture. Now she is safe. She gets trauma counseling and lives in a safe house.
We are proud of her because she is preparing a case against the perpetrators and traffickers. We will guide her to get justice and prepare her for a beautiful future.
